Who were the main inn visitors in the old times?... Obviously, men – having a rest while grain is being ground in the windmill. Pub is the place that makes a man a man! This is a true kingdom of men, unmistakeably: with guns, antlers, bear hides hanging on the walls, benches near the huge manful tables covered in animal skin and stuffed hares, foxes, polecats watching from the windowsills. Here there's no need to think which fork to use for which dish or worry about beer running over your moustache. This is the perfect place to reflect the Lithuanian song about men, who never hunt for storm in a glass of water and who sometimes do not return home. In case you feel overly high, don’t you worry, we are on the first floor.
Who would have a pub in a place where one could easily break his neck?
By the way, if you decide to take a horse ride – everything will be teken care of: near the entrance there are two beams to tie horses to, just like it should be. Such beams could always been found near pubs...
This is a great place for those yearning a real, simple village and strong dishes, e.g. flitch with onions, vėdarai (mashed potatoes stuffed in animal guts and cooked) with cracklings or pork ribbings. If you want to have a manful celebration here - invite 100 guests or more, there's room for everyone.
On the second floor you can find a much quieter place Seklyčia (an ancient Lithuanian living-room) In this kingdom of women, apart from having snacks and some fun, you can also take a walk in the museum: ancient utensils, keys, locks hanging on the walls, you will also find pots and sewing machines... By the way, men will also have the need to come here, especially during an important basketball match: a white wall, perfectly capable of acting as a screen, is located in this very hall, accommodating up to 150 sport fans.
A terrace accommodating up to 120 visitors is established in the southern side, thus the sun will shed its warmth here even in winter and in summer when the windows are taken out, one can enjoy not only a light breeze but also the magnificent inhabitants of the pond – black swans. If you come with children, be sure to be able to catch up with them - the little ones cannot resist the temptation to feed those birds some bread.
